gomoney is a digital bank that offers peer-to-peer payments and integrated third party services. We have created a digital banking experience that is relevant to a diverse group of individuals and our goal is to continue creating convenient experiences that allow people better understand their money and how to spend it.
Our 100% stress-free platform allows you to: open an account in just 3 minutes, pay all your bills on one platform with our specially built in-app services, track your spending with carefully curated categories and even request payments from that debtor that’s been dodging your calls. Yes, all of the above and that's only the beginning.🙇🏽♂️
With us, you can rest easy knowing your money is 100% safe. We're in compliance with all of the CBN's guidelines and all deposits are insured by the National Deposit Insurance Corporation.
For added security, we're also ISO 20000-1 and ISO 22301 compliant, and PCI-DSS compliant. This just means that we take you and your money very seriously and have taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that you never have to hear long story.
We will always ask for your consent before storing any information about you. Here are the 4 categories of information that we could possibly store:
The same documents you need to open a regular bank account. We’ve made it easier by using a tiered account system. This means that you can start with the bare minimum and upgrade your transaction limits by providing more information later.
Please see 'How do I upgrade my account?' for detailed information on each tier and the identity-verifying documents required at each level.Currently, gomoney functions primarily in Nigeria; unfortunately, this means that you will not be able to directly send to or receive money from international bank accounts.
However, with your gomoney virtual card, you can perform international card transactions, pay for your subscriptions or enjoy your online shopping spree in peace. 🛍️gomoney is available to anyone who is at least 16 years old and meets the regulatory requirements as issued by the CBN. We've built an inclusive platform which is why once you have a Nigerian phone number, you're ready to go regardless of your citizenship, financial capacity or internet access.
Everyone who interacts with money frequently (so everyone) can use gomoney. You don't have to saddle yourself with traditional banking processes to access quality financial services.
We also serve:
Small business owners 🧑🏾💼: gomoney can be used by online vendors, artisans and even small business owners to request money from clients and customers.
Parents 👨👩: You can send money to your kid's gomoney accounts and escape the stress of holding on to cash or the hassle and cost of opening a traditional bank account.*
*Please note that if parents choose to open an account for their children, they have the sole responsibility of managing and regulating the accounts of their children. Please read our terms and conditions for more information.
Split payment is a feature that is designed to simplify group financial commitments. This makes it perfect for dividing payments like the cost of a night out with friends, a surprise anniversary gift for your parents or shared household expenses amongst flatmates.
Who can I split a payment with? 🧑🏾🧑🏿🧑🏾🧑🏿
You can split payments with any of your gomoney contacts!
Once you're invited to a group, you're sent a prompt to either accept the invitation or reject it. This is to ensure that you're not just added to groups by people you don't know. You're also sent a prompt to pay your share of the bill; this makes it a conscious action you choose to take.
Payment links are another way for you to interact with money. With Payment links, you can send and request for money from any of your contacts, even if they are outside the gomoney ecosystem.
You can generate and send a payment link to anyone in your contacts via SMS, email, DMs, WhatsApp etc.📱All the recipient has to do is follow the link to open the app for peer-to-peer transactions or open an online payment gateway where they can transfer money to your account.Payment pages are what the recipients of your payment links will see. It's a page that allows them to accept the total or partial payment of your payment request. Once the link is clicked, the recipient will be guided to choose how much they'll like to send to you, provide their details and they're good to go. We recommend that they create a gomoney account to make it easier to send money to you next time. 😉
Please note that making transactions from the payment pages incurs a 1.5% fee (of the total amount the recipient chooses to send) to our payment partners.Our goal is to always be transparent with you;
